Born from courage, rhythm, and resilience, Strisutram Foundation is a movement of healing through heritage.
The journey began in November 2022, when Panchfula Kawane, a fourth-stage cancer survivor, transformed her pain into purpose. After surviving a life-threatening illness during the pandemic, she realized that life’s true rhythm lies in preserving what sustains us — our culture, our art, and our people.

With this vision, Strisutram Foundation was founded to empower local artists, revive India’s fading folk music traditions, and use art as a medium for wellness and education. The Foundation believes that when we preserve our roots, we preserve our collective future.

Through initiatives like Amoksa (Music & Wellness) and Soch (Mental Health & Education), Strisutram bridges the gap between cultural preservation and emotional healing, aligning its mission with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being:
Using music therapy, wellness programs, and emotional intelligence education to promote mental health and healing.
SDG 4 – Quality Education:
Empowering youth and women through creative skill development, cultural learning, and digital literacy.
SDG 5 – Gender Equality:
Providing equal opportunities for women artists and mental health advocates to lead and inspire.
SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth:
Creating sustainable livelihoods for rural and tribal artists through training, performances, and global collaborations.
SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities:
Preserving intangible cultural heritage and integrating folk traditions into community development.
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals:
Collaborating with CSR partners, cultural institutions, and international organizations to amplify cultural and social impact.

The Folk Music Lab is the heart of this mission — a creative ecosystem where traditional rhythms meet modern innovation. Here, instruments are revived, stories are recorded, and youth learn to carry forward the melodies of their ancestors.

Today, Strisutram Foundation continues to unite artists, educators, and changemakers, turning culture into a tool for healing, hope, and empowerment.

Because at its core, Strisutram isn’t just about saving art —
It’s about saving the soul of a community and composing a more compassionate world.
